New Montages, a foray into the macabre

These montages are selected from a cycle of metamorphic images that have been materialising intermittently. Subjects transform into objects and language becomes gesture. Many montages evince an urban nightmare quality that is akin to the manic story telling of children, who are prone to wild exaggeration for phantasmagoric effect. There is also subtlety in this strangeness, with elements of surprise, steeped in mystery, that even elude me. The resultant nuances give us fragmentary details, in a fractured narrative, offering us a way into the image but seldom an exit.
